Research Experience for Undergraduates summer programs
If graduate school could be in your future, check out the American Mathematical Society’s Research Experience for Undergraduates summer programs.  This program provides opportunities working with a variety of ongoing research projects alongside experienced university researchers.

Student Affairs Application Development Intern

Position Description
The Student Affairs Application Development Intern works a minimum of 15 hours per week as a member of the Student Affairs staff. In return, the intern receives benefits as outlined in the Student Affairs Intern Contract.

Specific Duties
• Report directly to the Administrative Assistant, Student Affairs.
• Develop new and maintain existing applications for Dr. Oscar McKnight, Assistant Dean, Student Affairs/Director of Counseling Services.
• Identify trends in technology, recommending adaptations to better serve students.
• Promote awareness and inform Student Affairs staff of current and future technology.
• Establish relationships and serve as a liaison with other departments involved in managing and utilizing technology.
• Create web based or desktop programs as needed.
• Serve as a role model and maintain high standards of self and others.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Experience with basic PC troubleshooting
• Knowledge of graphics, i.e. photo galleries, and familiarity with basic operations of a digital camera, camcorder, palm pilot, pocket pc, scanner
• Willingness to learn and utilize various programming languages and resources, i.e. open-source APIs, plug-ins and installers
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average
• No Level I, II judicial or academic integrity violations
• Effective leadership

Richard A. Good Endowment 
for Undergraduate Research Support 

Any Ashland University Mathematics and Computer Science department majors may apply for these funds. The purpose of the endowment is to provide educational opportunities for students involved in undergraduate mathematics research projects. Funds can provide stipend support, travel for conferences, materials for presentations, and will be designated at the discretion of the Dean of Arts and Sciences. You must identify and contact a "faculty sponsor." to apply. If you are interested, please contact any department faculty member to discuss your project and fill out an application.
