Joel Moseman Passed Another Actuarial Exam

Math and Computer Science 2017 Outstanding Students
The 2017 Math and Computer Science Department's Honors Reception was held on April 26, 2017. Students were awarded for a GPA of 3.5 in their Math and Computer Science courses. In addition, there were outstanding student awards, graduates, scholarship recipients, honor society inductees, officers and graduates, ACM officers, MAA officers, presentations, participation and student worker recognition. Congratulations to all students who were awarded and recognized.

2017 Upsilon Pi Epsilon (Computer Science) New Inductees and Graduates
Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) is an international honor society for the computing and information disciplines. UPE is the first and only existing international honor society the computing and information disciplines. The mission of UPE is to recognize academic excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the computing and information disciplines. Sophomore, junior and senior computer science majors who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to join this prestigious honorary.
The following students were inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon in 2017: Nathan Ahrens, Michael Cowan, Brady Douglas, Daniel Griffith.

2017 Pi Mu Epsilon (Mathematics) New Inductees and Graduates
Pi Mu Epsilon is the national mathematics honorary society. The purpose of the society is to promote scholarly activity in mathematics among the students in academic institutions. Sophomore, junior and senior mathematics majors and minors who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to join this prestigious honorary.
The following students were inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon in 2017: Brady Douglas, Dominic Giunta, Daniel Griffith, Elizabeth Kidd, Emily Law, Jessica Shrider and Michael Woode. The faculty advisor for the 2016-2017 academic year was Dr. Gordon Swain.
